About

Her artistic practice encompasses writing, drawing, painting, photography, video, installation and performance. In addition to her studio practice, interdisciplinary collaborations influence the content of her work and shape it over a long period of time.
Flurina Casty completed her Bachelor's degree at the Gerrit Rietveld Academy in Amsterdam in 2015. After graduating, she established a connection with South Africa and has been involved in collaborations with grassroots institutions and individuals in recent years. She exhibits and performs her work in various contexts such as galleries, public spaces and online both nationally and internationally.
She successfully completed her Master Contemporary Art Practice in Bern in summer 2020. She currently works between Johannesburg, Zurich and the mountains of Switzerland.
